Michigan State Basketball knocked off Big Ten foe No. 14 Rutgers 68-45 in an emphatic win. It was a game that many fans were nervous about, but the Spartans showed up and looked like the team they were supposed to look like all year and dominated the Scarlet Knights.
In general, the Spartans looked like an elite defensive team and they seemed to have found a nice rhythm with a new look lineup. The game featured some impressive, important performances for MSU. MSU is now 8-3 on the season and 2-3 in Big Ten play.
