A month ago, former Michigan State Basketball player Mat Ishbia donated $32-million to Michigan State athletics. On Thursday, Dick Vitale announced during MSU’s game against No. 2 Michigan that Ishbia has also donated $1 million to the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
“I’m on cloud nine,” Vitale said. “Mat said to me, Dickie Vi, I’ve been successful, I love kids, I love helping people that want to help kids, count me in for $1 million dollars.”
Ishbia was a member of the 2000 national championship team and is currently the CEO of United Wholesale Mortgage.
