Michigan State adds third football recruit of the day in Devin Hightower

What’s the opposite of “when it rains, it pours”?

Whatever it is, that’s the feeling around Michigan State football recruiting today as MSU added three commitments on Sunday after hosting a big weekend of official visits.

After CB Angelo Grose and DE Chris Mayfield got the day going, OLB Devin Hightower capped things off by committing to Michigan State on Twitter Sunday evening.

Hightower, listed at 6-foot-1 and 218 pounds, comes to East Lansing by way of Archbishop Hoban in Ohio. He chose MSU over offers from Michigan, Pitt, Iowa and Indiana. He is a three-star player ranked as the 707th best player in the country according to 24/7 Sports’ composite ranking.

Hightower is the 11th player in MSU’s 2020 class, which is now ranked 43rd in the country and 9th in the Big Ten.
