Michigan's loss to Iowa on Saturday shook the college football world, clouded the playoff picture and added drama to the Big Ten East Division race.
Coach Jim Harbaugh's message: Stay the course.
"The work ethic of our team has been a positive the entire year," he said Tuesday on the Big Ten coaches' teleconference. "We have big dreams."
The Wolverines (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) are not changing either, despite suffering their first loss of the season in a 14-13 shocker.
"A loss is a loss in terms of how it feels," Harbaugh said.
The Wolverines must get past Indiana (5-5, 3-4) at home on Saturday and then prepare for an everything-on-the-line battle at Ohio State (9-1, 6-1) in the regular-season finale in hopes of heading to the Big Ten championship game.
But facing a do-or-die situation is not Michigan's only worry now.
Quarterback Wilton Speight is questionable for the Indiana game after breaking his collarbone against Iowa, Harbaugh said. Harbaugh declined to elaborate on the severity of the injury.
If Speight can't play, junior John O'Korn would get the call. He has played in relief in eight games, connecting on 13 of 18 passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns.
"The improvement has been steady by all of our quarterbacks," Harbaugh said. "Our team feels great about the quarterback play we've gotten from Wilton and all the quarterbacks that have been in the ballgames."
