Michigan reports 8,080 new COVID-19 cases, 103 deaths

DETROIT — Michigan reported 8,080 new cases of COVID-19 and 103 new deaths Saturday, according to an update from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Seventy of the 103 deaths were found in a records review to see if a COVID-19 infection contributed to one's death.

The state now has 9,036 confirmed deaths and 350,021 confirmed cases since March.

As of Nov. 25, 165,269 cases have recovered.

Michigan had a positivity rate of 11.7% Friday, reporting that 6,673 out of 57,033 diagnostic test results returned were positive.

Michigan has a fatality rate of 2.6% among known cases.

The state has reported 431 probable COVID-19 deaths and 28,131 probable cases.

The probable cases combined with the confirmed cases make for a cumulative total of 9,467 deaths and 378,152 cases.
