Michigan QB Shea Patterson’s Twitter account had what appears to be a fake, interesting and bizarre Tweet Sunday

So take this with a grain of salt because in today’s day and age, people get hacked all the time. However, it appears that someone using Shea Patterson’s Twitter account had some very interesting things to say about himself, Jim Harbaugh and Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

We know it’s Patterson’s account because — ya know — the blue check mark thing. Now it’s damage control for sure up in Ann Arbor.

College Football Quotes found the Tweet and sent it out to the masses before any scrubbing and deleting could take place. In it, Patterson allegedly says that he’s the best QB in the conference (Big Ten), called Justin Fields overrated, and took shots at Jim Harbaugh’s play-calling.

So far there has been no comment from Michigan or Shea Patterson, but in a strange turn of events, someone by the name of Kacie Patterson got on social media to slay the quotes as untrue. A little research shows that it’s likely Patterson’s older sister who lives in San Antonio.

If this really is Shea, it’s clear that there’s a problem with Wolverines spouting off at Michigan under Jim Harbaugh. From “The Guarantee” to the “Revenge Tour,” to coaches calling out Ohio State, it just seems to never end. A recruit that committed to Michigan recently also got in on the mix.

We’ll have more to this story as it evolves, and again we’ll tread lightly because you never know what kind of funny business was behind it, but it’s not a good look for Shea Patterson, Jim Harbaugh or Michigan.

*Update: This does indeed appear to be a case of someone playing a trick on Patterson. He took to social media to refute any so-called “burner” account he owns, and called out the underscore under his name looking a bit off.
