Michelle Obama will star in a brand new cooking show for kids which is coming to Netflix.
The former First Lady will don her chef hat to appear in the live-action show which will premiere on the streaming site on March 16.
The show is one of six new projects backed by Michelle and her former President husband Barack that will be coming to Netflix after the couple signed a lucrative deal through their production company, Higher Ground Productions.

In the cooking show Michelle stars as a supermarket assistant who befriends chef puppets Waffle and Mochi and the trio embark on a series of culinary adventures all over the world.
The show was previously mentioned in 2019 when the Obamas originally signed the Netflix deal but at the time the show was to be called 'Listen to Your Vegetables & Eat Your Parents' and there was no mention of the former First Lady starring in it.

According to Netflix description of the show, the two puppets live in the Land of Frozen Food and long to become chefs and "With the help of friendly new faces like the supermarket owner, Mrs. Obama, and a magical flying shopping cart as their guide, Waffles and Mochi blast off on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms and homes all over the world, cooking up recipes with everyday ingredients alongside renowned chefs, home cooks, kids, and celebrities.

"Whether they’re picking potatoes in the Andes of Peru, sampling spices in Italy, or making Miso in Japan, these curious explorers uncover the wonder of food and discover every meal is a chance to make new friends.
"Waffles + Mochi is an exciting invitation to get kids and grown-ups cooking together in the kitchen and connecting to cultures around the globe."
It's not the first the Mrs Obama has shown an interest in children's television. In her role as former First Lady she appeared in Sesame Street twice and both times the segment was on healthy eating.
