Michelle Obama is making her only UK appearance in an exclusive event at the Southbank Centre to talk about her new memoir, Becoming.
Penguin Live presents Becoming: An Evening with Michelle Obama on December 3 in the Royal Festival Hall.
She’ll be in conversation with acclaimed novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and will reflect on her life from growing up on the South Side of Chicago to her years in the White House.
Adichie is the best-selling author of Purple Hibiscus, Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah.
In line with Obama's passion for supporting young people, 300 free tickets will be donated to secondary school pupils in London and across the country, as well as some charities.
The first allocation of tickets for the evening will go on sale at 10am on November 7, with a second batch released on November 8. All tickets include a copy of the book.
