Michelle Obama's playlist has been revealed - obviously it's cool

Michelle and Barack Obama share more than just a sleek sense of style and an adorable family, including dogs Bo and Sunny. They also favor the same musicians, from Chance the Rapper to Kendrick Lamar.

If your endless quest to become just like Michelle Obama has led you to SoulCycle (although it’s difficult to procure private classes if you're not American royalty), there’s a new way to channel the former First Lady - embrace her playlist.

According to Page Six, when Obama arrived at a recent Essence magazine photo shoot, she brought along a list of her favorite tracks, just in case you didn't already know she was the coolest First Lady ever (sorry, Melania).

The mag’s entertainment director, Cori Murray, told Page Six TV that there was “tons of Michael Jackson, Chance the Rapper — and when she put on ‘Humble’ by Kendrick [Lamar], things got loose.”

Much like her husband Barack, Michelle Obama has on-trend music taste. Her husband helpfully reveals his playlist yearly, and his 2017 songs overlapped with hers, including Chance the Rapper and Kendrick Lamar.

But Barack's playlist also featured Camilla Cabello’s inescapable hit “Havana,” along with more eclectic appearances from Harry Styles, SZA, Portugal, The Man, and Chris Stapleton.

We expect Mrs O will her music on the road as she promotes her memoir Becoming in a series of talks, where she'll be joined by Oprah Winfrey, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Reese Witherspoon as special guest stars. During her most recent tour stop in Washington, D.C., her husband stopped by with flowers and compared himself to Jay-Z making a guest appearance at a Beyoncé concert.

If you happen to hit up her tour (there's even merch available, proving she's almost gone full Queen B) you can also hear a little more of her personal playlist, including Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Alessia Cara, and of course, Beyoncé.
