Michelle Keegan has thanked heroic NHS staff in her home town as they worked another 12 hour shift on the coronavirus frontline.
The Our Girl actress and former Corrie star shared a tweet from intensive care staff at Stepping Hill Hospital in Stockport to her 3.5million followers with a message of appreciation.
Stepping Hill ICU said: "Our incredible ICU team are spending Easter Sunday working another 12 hour shift looking after those who need it most #nhsheroes #COVID19 #proud2care #stockportnhs #teamwork #ClapForCarers."
And Michelle, best known as medic Georgie Lane in the BBC One drama Our Girl and Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street,retweeted it with a stream of love heart emojis.
"Absolute heroes! Thank you," she wrote.
"They are heroes and from my home town too. Thanks for the mention," said one follower.
"They are real heroes," commented another.
"Yes thank you without you #NHSheroes I would be more frightened than I am #asthma," said another follower.
Michelle, 32, recently sent love 'to anyone who needs it right now' on her Instagram while in lockdown at the home in Essex she shares with her TV presenter and former TOWIE star husband Mark Wright.
The star recently shared an adorable photo of herself as a little girl from her lockdown.
She posted the snap along with some rallying words for her followers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Describing the throwback snap she wrote: "Feet up, slippers on and rice crispy cakes at the ready... I’m well practiced at this."
