Michelle Keegan stuns in selfie during first week in Australia after landing dream role

She has jetted off to Australia after landing her dream role in BBC drama Ten Pound Poms.

And Michelle Keegan shared an insight into her first week Down Under as she took to Instagram on Sunday to share a montage of snaps.

The Brassic actress, 34, has been keeping busy as she posted some behind-the-scenes snaps from filming as well as a trip to a flower market and the beach.

Michelle appeared to be loving her time in Oz as she beamed in selfie.

The former Coronation Street actress looked radiant as she showed off her beauty with a minimal make-up look and wore her brunette hair in a bouncy blow-dry.

Ten Pound Poms, follows a group of British people leaving Britain in 1956 to go on an adventure half-way across the world.

"Michelle has always had one big dream, which is appearing in a period drama and Ten Pound Poms will let her dip her toe in those past times," a source close to Michelle told The Sun.

Brassic screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst is behind the show and confessed the six-part series is a 'big, bold character piece about what it means to start again.'

"The assisted migration programme is a little-known part of British and Australian history but offers endless stories about the people who travelled to the other side of the world in search of a better life," he told the publication.

Mirror have contacted Michelle's representatives for comment.

Due to filming, she may have to be apart from her husband Mark for quite some time.

Mark has been married to Michelle since 2015 but both of their careers have taken off in the subsequent years – with Mark spending time in the USA to be a presenter on the popular entertainment talk show Extra and Michelle appearing in TV hits including the biopic drama Tina and Bobby and hit show Our Girl.

It was previously reported that Mark quit The Real Games in order to spend more time with his wife, with who he recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary

“[His image as a reality star] is something he wants to keep in the past so he can carve out his new career path with Michelle as a power couple," a source told Closer in March.

“He and Michelle have also spent long chunks of time apart during their marriage, so he also turned it down to spend as much time as possible with her."

The insider added that Mark knew the situation wasn't ideal, but felt it was better to pull out when he did than weeks down the line, and that after talking to Michelle, he knew he had to make the decision that was right for him.

They added: “Mark’s made a sacrifice to spend more time with Michelle and to work on their new career, but that decision has backfired if ITV really has blacklisted him.”
