Michelle Keegan shares 'hard to get' video before new co-star makes cheeky swipe in gushing post

Michelle Keegan jokingly shared how her latest fan was playing 'hard to get' amid filming for her next big project. The actress is currently hard at work filming as she is set to star in Fool Me Once, the new Netflix adaptation of bestselling author Harlan Coben's book.

Michelle, who rose to fame after playing Tina McIntyre in Coronation Street, revealed the news to her followers back in February with a photo of her posing at a poolside in a bikini with the bestselling book in hand.

Another snap showed a sign which read 'Maya', indicating her character's name, as well as an exclusive photo of her filming in action. Alongside the pictures, she wrote: "Finally the secrets out!! I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo…"

She has since been spotted filming closer to home for the upcoming series in which she plays the lead role of Maya Stern, who is trying to come to terms with the brutal murder of her husband, Joe (Obsession's Richard Armitage). But when Maya installs a nanny-cam to keep an eye on her young daughter, she is shocked to see her husband, who she thought was dead.

Detective Sergeant Sami Kierce (Sherwood's Adeel Akhtar) leads the homicide investigation into Joe’s death while grappling with secrets of his own. Meanwhile, Maya’s niece and nephew are trying to find the truth about their mother’s murder several months earlier. Fool Me Once also stars Absolutely Fabulous icon Joanna Lumley as Joe’s protective mother Judith.

During her latest filming stint, Michelle appeared to wander across some animals, specifically an alpaca, who she seemed slightly nervous at approaching. "Hi," the 36-year-old could gleefully be heard saying to the animal as she admitted she was 'scared' before putting her hand out.

"Can I stroke you?" she asked but as she got close, the alpaca pulled away and seem uninterested in the TV beauty's attention. "Playing hard to get," she typed alongside the video before finding more luck with a very happy-looking goat. As she fussed over the animal, she wrote: "I now want a goat!" alongside a red heart emoji.

But she was soon showing the reality of her work as she tried to keep cool using a fan while wearing a black top and skinny jeans with her locks roughly curled and in a half-up half-down style. "Hottest day of the year and I'm wearing a jumper!" Michelle, who also covered her eyes with some cool dark shared, typed to her millions of followers.

She was then seen alongside fellow actor Emmett J Scanlan as the former Hollyowkas star is also set to appear in Fool Me Once as Shane Tessier." The cool kids," Michelle captioned the snap which showed the pair sat down and while she gave a slight smile, Emmett looked down the lens and gave a peace sign. "Well me anyway," she then cheekily added.

And Emmett appeared to get his own back as he shared the same snap to his own Instagram grid in what appeared to be a gushing post about his new co-star. The former soap star, who played Brendan Brady in Channel 4's Hollyoaks, said: "There are few leading ladies I’ve worked with who have the grace, humility, talent & humour of @michkeegan."

He then cheekily added: "Even Michelle doesn’t have it. It’s weird. #FoolMeOnce." And it wasn't long before she was in the comments section as she wrote: "Wanted to come back with a witty comment… I have NOTHING!"
