Michelle Keegan says 'finally the secret's out' as she makes career announcement

Michelle Keegan has made an exciting career announcement. The actress has confirmed she'll be starring in the next Harlan Coben adaptation on Netflix.

The streaming service has confirmed Fool Me Once will be the next book adaptation to land on its platform. It will come from the same creative team behind The Stranger, Safe, and Stay Close.

Stay Close was released on Netflix last year and starred Cush Jumbo, James Nesbitt, Richard Armitage and Sarah Parish. Fool Me Once, which doesn't yet have an air date, will star Michelle Keegan, Richard Armitage, Adeel Akhtar, Joanna Lumley, Emmett J. Scanlan, Natalie Anderson and Dino Fetscher.

Sharing the news with her 6.4 million followers, Michelle shared a picture of herself reading the book poolside and wrote: "Finally the secrets out!!

"I'm over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo."

Netflix also shared the news, writing: "Exciting news: @michkeegan will star in FOOL ME ONCE, a new thriller based on the book by @harlancoben.

"The limited series also stars @richardcarmitage, @adeelakhtar and Joanna Lumley! Coming soon to Netflix."

While more details are yet to be shared, Harlan has confirmed the limited series will be made up of eight episodes and will be released shortly. He wrote: "Coming soon worldwide. When is soon? I don't know." For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
