Michelle Keegan is a beacon of summer hope in stunning beach fashion shoot

Michelle Keegan has brought the summer sunshine to the dreary UK with a dazzling new photoshoot in Blackpool.

The 33-year-old actress has debuted a new collection of summer clothes with online retailer Very – and has brought some much needed joy to the British summer season.

The UK might be halfway through May, but it still feels like the middle of winter due to thunderous downpours and freezing temperatures.

But Michelle has brought some much needed warmth to the season with a stunning summer photoshoot to promote her latest fashion collection.

The Brassic actress donned sleeveless frocks, strapless jumpsuits, and pastel colours for her shoot – taken at the beach in Blackpool.

With Blackpool Pier and Blackpool tower lighting up the backdrop, Meech looks ready to celebrate the summer.

And indeed the star declared she was ready to dance off the winter months as she shared photos online.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, the TV babe shared her excitement for the coming months.

She wrote alongside a collection of snaps: “Can’t wait for the weather to warm up!

“My new @veryuk pieces make me think of dancing, cocktails and the beach - definitely my #3wordsofsummer what’s yours??”

Husband Mark Wright was among those replying to the post to say his three words for the summer are: “Beach, bar, beer.”

Fellow reality star Vicky Pattison responded to Michelle's posts to simply comment: "Wow."

While the Very account itself replied: "Gorgeous!! Our three words are friends, dancing and fun!"

Summer 2021 is predicted to be the wettest ever on record (Handout)

Hopes of a glorious summer are fading, unfortunately, as book makers slashed the odds on 2021 having the wettest summer on record over the weekend.

Icy downpours have been reported all over the UK in recent days – with forecasters predicting rain will continue to lash the country until mid-June.

There is then to be a short heatwave taking us to July – but the weather is then expected to return to rain again.
