Michelle Keegan has confirmed that Peter Kay is in talks for an epic TV comeback in Sky One sitcom Brassic.
The comedian, 46, stepped away from the limelight in 2017 and has only made rare appearances ever since, but it seems as though his brief hiatus may come to an end very soon.
Michelle, 32, has dished on how Brassic co-creator Joseph Gilgun had spoken to the comedian, 46, about joining the show.
She even said she has her "fingers crossed" for Peter to make an appearance on her latest acting venture.
Speaking to Heart.co.uk, she said: "The last season I remember Joe speaking to Peter because Peter is a fan of the show."

She continued: "I don’t know if it’s true that he’s joining, I just know that he’s a fan of the show and that he was in talks with Joe last season.
"He would be a great addition to the show, I’m a massive fan of Peter Kay as well, fingers crossed, it’d be hilarious."

And even the show's writer and co-creator Danny Brocklehurst is believed to be keen to get Kay in for a cameo role.
According to the Daily Star, he said: "There are so many people it would be good fun to have in.
"I know Peter Kay loved the show’s season one. It’d be amazing if we could get him in it."

The show focuses on a group of working class mates living in the fictional northern town of Hawley.
The second season of the series is set to air later this month.
Kay has stayed away from the spotlight after cancelling his stand-up tour in 2017 due to "family reasons".

He had been due to return to theatres for his Dance for Life Tour in April and May this year, but that was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
His rare appearances in recent months include a brief cameo on BBC fundraiser Big Night In.
