Michelle Heaton 's husband Hugh Hanley has opened up about their "horrendous" marriage has improved since his wife became sober.
The Liberty X singer has been open about her alcohol and drug addiction after entering the Priory back in April and now celebrating seven months sober.
The couple have been together for 14 years but hit a rough patch when Michelle was struggling with her addiction.
But it seems that their relationship is much better now despite once feeling like Hugh had lost his wife.
The pair of them spoke to OK! where they talked about how they coped when Michelle was having a hard time.
Hugh said their marriage has now improved 'massively' adding that it's a lot more fun now, "easy and stress free".

Michelle explained that it's got better because she thought that the answer to marriage was having fun but the last few years were far from that.
She said: "I suppose, in my mind, having fun was the answer to a marriage and my idea of having fun was not fun in the past few years.
"So Hugh is absolutely buzzing as he gets to go to bed early with me, as now I want to go to bed early! Part of me used to be scared to go to sleep as I was afraid of not waking up, but I’m not any more."
The star mentioned how supportive her husband has been through her journey, describing him as "amazing".
She said that in the beginning he was '"full of resentment" so it was difficult due to him having a tough time.

But Hugh said he managed to stay strong due to knowing Michelle wasn't being herself.
He said: "We’ve been together for 14 years now, so I was well aware of who Michelle is and that this wasn’t her. I just think it was the desire and hope to get my wife back."
Michelle previously said that when she was struggling it was like Hugh was a single parent but he made it clear that she was always present in their two children's lives even in the difficult times.
But now Hugh says that it's the other was round as he added: "I think it’s probably flipped – Michelle is doing more than me. She is a super mum. AJ’s personality has improved massively as he’s now enjoying having banter with his mum, too."
To maintain her sobriety she still goes to AA meetings.

She completed the 12 step programme as well as being part of the CA (Cocaine Anonymous) fellowship.
The singer wants to be able to help other people that are in a similar situation that she was since she has now passed all of the checklists.
Michelle said that her nine year old daughter, Faith, is supportive of how far she's come and now even pulls her away from the wine aisle in the supermarket.
She despites her daughter as he "biggest cheerleader" and "biggest bodyguard".
