Michelle Heaton looks happy and healthy after rehab as she takes kids to Chessington

Michelle Heaton looked happy and healthy after her stint in rehab as she enjoyed a family day out.

The Liberty X singer, 41, and her husband Hugh Hanley took their children Faith, nine, and seven-year-old AJ to Chessington World of Adventures on Saturday.

She had a huge smile on her face all day as she enjoyed all of the rides with her family.

Michelle looked stunning in an orange vest top and a pair of khaki-coloured jogging bottoms, which she teamed with white trainers for the day out.

She accessorised with a red handbag which she wore on one arm and her brunette locks were worn straight and down around her shoulders.

Michelle also sported some gold hoop earrings and a pair of black sunglasses.

The mum-of-two appeared to be having a blast as the family tried out all the rides.

Chessington was slammed this week after guests queued for two hours to get in and ride queues reached over an hour.

The theme park was also accused of not enforcing social distancing or the use of face masks in the queues and on the rides.

Chessington said in a statement: "Since the start of the pandemic, our first priority has always been the safety of our guests, staff and animals in our care.

“Yesterday was an unusual occurrence and not the experience we look to provide guests. We are subsequently investigating further to ensure this doesn’t happen again."

Michelle's day at the theme park came after she opened up about going to rehab to treat her battle with drug and alcohol addiction.

The singer said she had been "days away from death" before she sought treatment.

She told The Sun: "What I was doing was a suicide mission. I never actually thought, 'I want to kill myself', but ultimately I was killing myself.

"I was crying out for help when I couldn’t actually ask for help. But when you're an addict, it feels like there’s no way out."

She reportedly turned to alcohol "as a crutch" following a number of health issues during lockdown.

Michelle said that she was encouraged to go to rehab by her friend Katie Price, who could see she was struggling with addiction.

She said: "I was shaking and I was crying. I was intoxicated. Katie Price said, 'Right, you're going to The Priory.'"

"My first instinct was 'Thank God'. I never asked for help but they could see I needed it," she added.

"Over the next 48 hours my manager, Katie, my husband and my best friends did it all for me.

"When Katie, who's been through the fire and come out the other end says, 'You need this', you sit up and listen."
