Michelle Heaton hits back after being slammed for huge shopping delivery

Michelle Heaton has been forced to defend herself after coming under fire for ordering a huge shopping delivery to her home.

The Gateshead -born Liberty X star took to Instagram last week to reveal a host of shopping bags in her hallway, holding up a pack of Dettol wipes as the prized item.

But the 40-year-old then faced a barrage of criticism from people who saw the photo, prompting her to hit back with a lengthy Insta post.

Michelle wrote: " The world is a hateful place sometimes.. how dare people on social assume anything right now .. or what I do or don’t do for others: I booked my delivery two weeks ago!

"For me my family and our two family friends who are currently in lock down high risk! I’m about to disinfect the lot and drop it to their door and keep ours for my family! We all need to do our bit absolutely! I just don’t feel the need to shout about it! But the haters hate and I can’t be bothered so here you go... the “aren’t I amazing looking for praise post”

"If you all wanna do your bit too you can .. I’m pretty sure the keyboard warriors are locked up with their cheese and wine telling everyone else what they expect while they are keeping themselves safe."

Coronavirus - Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton self-isolating

Rebekah Vardy responded to Michelle's post, writing: " Plenty of them t****rs out there with their automatic assumptions. Well done you," however another angry follower was still angry, responding: "Perhaps don’t post a picture of a load of food and supplies at a time when many are anxious about how and when they will next get some fresh food. What sort of response do you expect to a picture like this? There’s no sensible need to post it."

Last month Michelle revealed she and her family had been staying home as a precautionary measure after a neighbour had tested positive for coronavirus.

She posted: "We do not have any symptoms… kids, me and Hugh have been told to go about our normal daily life, unless we show symptoms!"

“That’s the advice and what’s been explained to us from the authorities. However, for those at school with our children, we are keeping Faith and AJ, and myself on 'house isolation' after much deliberation.

"Just for a few days even though, again, we have NO symptoms [at the moment]! And have NOT been in contact with the confirmed. I know some of you will be like 'omg she’s dramatic' take it as you wish…we are just as worried as everyone."
