Michelin star restaurants in London 2020: The capital’s one, two and three star restaurants

The Michelin guide for the year 2020 has been revealed – and no fewer than 67 London restaurants have stars next to their names.

This year the restaurant guide has awarded 53 London restaurants with one Michelin star, 10 restaurants with two stars and three restaurants with an impressive three stars.

The biggest winner of this year’s guide is Sketch Lecture Room & Library, which earns itself the top prize of three stars, graduating from two stars. London also gained four new one Michelin star restaurants – more on them later.

It was not all good news however, as the 2020 guide saw sushi restaurant The Araki tumble out of the ratings, dropping from three to none at all. Benares, Yauatcha Soho and Galvin at Windows also lost their only stars.

Last week, Michelin also awarded three new London restaurants with Bib Gourmands, which are the awards given to restaurants that offer high-quality food at good value for money. The commended restaurants were Bancone, Berenjak and Two Lights. The capital now boasts a total of 36 restaurants with Bib Gourmand awards.

With London’s list of Michelin-starred restaurants staying put at a colossal 67, you’re bound to be only a few tube stops away from world-class food.

To assist your foodie foraging, we’ve both listed all of them and plotted them out on a handy map. One-star restaurants are marked in yellow, two-star in orange and three-star in red.

Take a look at the map to find your nearest star-studded hotspot, or browse our gallery above to see what you can expect to find on your plate when you get there.
