Michelin-starred food on a Rutland Water cruise could be the perfect Father's Day gift

Michelin-starred restaurant Hambleton Hall is offering a dining experience with a difference on a cruise at Rutland Water in search of elusive osprey.

Tim and Stefa Hart, owners of the elegant country house in Rutland, and Hart's in Nottingham, are inviting diners onto the Rutland Belle for a mouth-watering meal, including sea bream with pea and mint risotto, and wines by Hambleton Hall while a Rutland Nature Reserve expert will point out the osprey.

Tickets for the one night only event on Thursday June 20 are £95 per person, which includes a donation to the nature reserve.

Ospreys were reintroduced to Rutland Water in the 1990s after dying out 150 years before and last month the 150th chick was born, following the first breeding in 2011.

Of the eight osprey nests in the Rutland area, one is currently in use in the Rutland Water reserve.

Tickets can be purchased at hambeltonhall.com
