Michel Vorm has issued a strong message to the Tottenham squad after completing his move back to the club.
The 35-year-old has signed a deal until the end of the season after being allowed to leave when his contract expired this summer.
Vorm arrives with a wealth of experience at a time when Spurs are desperately lacking following Hugo Lloris' injury.
The French stopper is out for the foreseeable future after dislocating his elbow against Brighton before the international break, and speaking to the club website , Vorm says that he was more than happy to come back to help his old club.
He said: "I'm happy to be back.
"It's easy in a way. Nothing really changed - I know most of the players and the staff obviously. I've been here for four or five seasons so for me it's coming home.
"I was in Holland at home watching the game and obviously I saw straight away that he had a bad injury and after the game I spoke with Jan (Vertonghen) and Toby (Alderweireld) and during the week I got the phonecall.
"I was open to coming back and helping out."
Asked about the importance of the team pulling together, he said: "Very. At the end of the day we need to do it together and we need everyone.
"It's easy to get in a negative situation but we need to stay positive and do this altogether. The good thing is that everyone's happy that I'm back so that's a positive for the team and I think I can help to achieve a good spirit.
"We've seen last year what we're capable of in difficult situations and now's the right time to stand up and do this as a group."
