Hollywood star Micheal Fassbender showed he never forgot his roots this week during a visit to his former alma mater.
The Oscar-nominated actor dropped into his Kerry secondary school on Tuesday much to the delight of students.
The X Men star paid a visit to St Brendan's College in Killarney to give a surprise acting class to transition year students.
The school posted about the workshop on social media, with images showing the leading man interacting in some scenes with the teens.
St Brendan's said: "Transition year students today received a drama workshop from past pupil and Oscar nominee Michael Fassbender.
"Students greatly enjoyed the workshop."
The 44-year-old, who is from Fossa in Co Kerry, first began acting while at the secondary school.
He now lives in Portugal with his wife, fellow actor Alicia Vikander.
The couple confirmed earlier this month that they had welcomed their first child together after snaps emerged of Vikander holding a baby during a recent break to Ibiza.
Fassbender and his The Light Between Oceans co-star tied the knot on the island of Ibiza in October 2017.
They first got together in 2014, with the A-Listers going public in November of that year whilst filming The Light Between Oceans - the movie that pushed them together.
Fassbender previously told Entertainment Tonight in 2016 why he is not keen on sharing about his private life.
The star shared: "I’m not going to talk about my private life with a total stranger, unless I feel like I need to. Why would I?
"I might have been curious about actors’ lives when I was growing up. That’s human nature. We’re all curious about a lot of things. But my curiosity didn’t obligate them to tell me."
