Michail Antonio shines as Ben Johnson helps England U21s through - West Ham international latest

West Ham United striker Michail Antonio was involved for Jamaica on Wednesday night as they beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-1 in St Louis.

The Reggae Boyz are looking to advance from their CONCACAF Gold Cup group and took a big step towards doing so with victory after drawing with the USA in their tournament opener.

Antonio started up front for Jamaica and assisted their third goal on 29 minutes, unselfishly squaring the ball to Everton forward Demarai Gray who tapped home his second of the game, with Aston Villa's Leon Bailey scoring the other.

Trinidad and Tobago's Andre Rampersad then pulled a goal back in the second half only for teenage substitute Dujan Richards, who will join Chelsea after he turns 18 in October, to make it 4-1 in stoppage time.

Jamaica are now level with group leaders USA and need just a point from their final game against Saint Kitts and Nevis on Sunday to secure a spot in the quarter-finals.

Elsewhere for the Hammers' international contingent, Ben Johnson helped England's Young Lions continue their perfect start to their Under-21 European Championship campaign with a 2-0 win against Germany.

Having alrady secured progression to the knockout stages in Georgia and Romania with 2-0 wins over Czechia and Israel, they kept up good momentum with another solid win against Germany.

Johnson started the match as Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer opened the scoring before Liverpool's Harvey Elliott doubled the lead with an excellent solo goal.

The 23-year-old started against the Germans, and saw his side take the lead with the game only four minutes old when Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer ran on to a superb pass from club team-mate Jacob Ramsey and curled the ball into the bottom corner.

As Group C winners England will take on Group A runners-up Portugal in the quarter-finals in Georgia on Sunday.
