Michail Antonio scouting report: West Ham wideman impresses - and has nice moment with the carpet

0-15 minutes

Started the game wide on the right. Slid to keep the ball in play, managed to do it but also nearly cleaned out the linesman in the process.  Almost got on the end of a really clever dink over the top from Snodgrass but Schmeichel beat him to the ball.

Won three free kicks off on Ben Chilwell in the opening quarter of an hour. Mispalced a pass between Zabaleta and Noble when both were in good positions.

Solid if unspectacular start.

Manuel Pellegrini again laments decisions after West Ham denied likely win vs Leicester

15-30 minutes

Was getting frustrated after two clear free kicks were not given in his favour after fouls and built up a head of steam, embarking on his trademark lung-busting run down the right wing and won a corner.

Nearly got on the end of a header from Anderson's clever pass as it looked like the beginning of "one of those days" for the Hammers where the final [asses were just a bit off.

Had the games first clear chance on 26 minutes. Great work from Arnautovic and fizzed in a cross, Antonio couldn't convert from five yards out though.

30-45 minutes

Got in the way of Felipe Anderson's curling shot but almost deflected it past a helpless Kasper Schmeichel in the Leicester goal, who was beaten all ends up and going the wrong way.

Scored the games opening goal on 37 minutes as he was far too big and strong for Ben Chilwell, outmuscled and outjumped him in the box to bury Mark Noble's cross with his forehead.

45-60 minutes

Had the beating of Chilwell once again, as he had done all afternoon, and breezed past the Leicester left back twice with minimum of fuss.  Didn't really have much else to do, didn't see a lot of the ball as Anderson on the other flank was brought into the game a bit more.

60-75 minutes

Could have done more to prevent Chilwell putting in the cross for Vardy's equaliser. Put in a great one of his own not long after though but none of his teammates gambled on it.

West Ham player ratings vs Leicester: Snodgrass superb, Perez scores but Balbuena struggles

75-90 minutes

Got absolutely clattered by Harry Maguire which took the wind out of the winger's sails for a few minutes as he got his breath back.

Faded in the final ten minutes as the oppressive heat at London Stadium caught up with him but he did have the honour of being awarded sponsors man of the match after a fine display, especially in the first hour of the match.
