Michail Antonio's classic reaction on Twitter after losing West Ham vs Tottenham FIFA 20 battle

West Ham United winger Michail Antonio couldn't get the job done against Tottenham Hotspur this season.

Last season he scored the winner as the Hammers became the first visiting team to beat the Lilywhites after moving into their brand new home in N17.

So with the Premier League's coronavirus suspension ensuring this season's meeting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium could not go ahead, Antonio was keen to taste victory over the north London outfit my any means neccessary.

Premier League stars past and present keep themselves entertained

At the beginning of the week in an attempt to stage the game, the Hammers winger had a brilliant idea as he took to Twitter on Monday evening and posted an invitation to play the game on FIFA.

"I ain't missing playing a London derby this weekend... Fifa, who wants it?" he tweeted.

It prompted a response from Spurs wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon: "I'm game, when we playing?" he replied.

And the stakes were elevated less than 24 hours later by the West Ham star.

In a message to the Spurs wonderkid on Tuesday, Antonio has suggested the ultimate forfeit for the loser.

"It’s on, let's raise the stakes, loser gives a full apology wearing the other team’s shirt?????" he asked.

Sessegnon accepted the challenge, the game took place on Friday night and it was the Spurs star who came out on top, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Giovani Lo Celso and Lucas Moura.

In winning the battle which was streamed live on the Hammers' official website, Sessegnon has avoided the ultimate forfeit.

But Antonio had quite the excuse for his loss.

Taking to Twitter after losing the battle he accepted he wasn't good enough on the night and also brought out the classic 'broken controller' reason for not being able to back up his words.

"ABSOLUTELY GUTTED!" he posted.

"Was embarrassing out there today and I’m way better than that. The passing was off, shooting was bad and couldn’t tackle.

"I think it’s clear what’s happened............ my controller must have been broken. I'LL BE BACK #FifaLondonDerby"
