Michail Antonio mocks Paul Pogba handball as West Ham draw with Man United to secure Premier League status

West Ham star Michail Antonio certainly saw the funny side of Paul Pogba’s handball Wednesday night’s draw at Old Trafford , much to the annoyance of the France international.

Pogba covered his face to block Declan Rice’s thunderbolt which resulted in a penalty kick being awarded to West Ham.

Antonio would score from the spot to give West Ham a 1-0 lead, with Sky Sports commentator and former Manchester United captain Gary Neville branding Pogba’s actions as ‘rubbish’ and ‘embarrassing’ .

While VAR analysed the incident, Antonio was caught mocking Pogba in a discussion with Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes – with Pogba watching on behind.

The World Cup winner certainly didn’t look happy as Antonio shared a laugh as his expense.

Pogba would later apologise to his team-mates as Mason Greenwood’s goal salvaged a point for the hosts, who now must avoid defeat to Leicester City on the final day of the season to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

The point for West Ham secured their Premier League survival ahead of what could have been a decisive match with Aston Villa on Sunday.

Victory for Dean Smith’s Villa will secure their top-flight status.
