Michail Antonio celebration: West Ham goalscorer explains bizarre dance after winner at Tottenham

West Ham match-winner Michail Antonio explained his bizarre celebration after inflicting the first defeat on Tottenham at their new home on Saturday.

Antonio did brilliantly to take down Marko Arnautovic's lofted cross and lash the ball past Hugo Lloris to score the first goal by a visiting team at the £1bn stadium, sealing a 1-0 win.

The goalscorer then performed an unusual thrusting celebration in front of the travelling West Ham fans as team-mates congratulated the England international.

Spurs, who tired as the second half wore on, went close to an equaliser through Vincent Janssen late on, but West Ham held on to make history in north London.

"There's this guy on Instagram, Danrue, that does crazy dance moves,” Antonio told Sky Sports after the fame.

“I saw it the other day and I've been busting it out in a couple of clubs so time to bring it out on the pitch. It lets me show my personality."

Antonio described being the first away team to win at Tottenham's new stadium as "beautiful".

"It's only right that West Ham did it," he added. "It's beautiful to come here and put ourselves in history.

"It's a big rivalry for us. Tottenham-West Ham goes back a long way, so for us to be the first team to come here and get a victory is a great achievement.

"We're loving it, the fans are loving it. We've just got to keep going for the last few games of the season and hopefully take it into next season.
