Michaella McCollum's highly anticipated book about life behind bars set to release next month

Former drug mule Michaella McCollum's tell-all book about life behind bars in a Peruvian prison will hit book shelves at the end of October.

The Co Tyrone woman and Melissa Reid from Scotland were nicknamed the 'Peru Two' after they were caught trying to smuggle 11kg of cocaine out of Peru’s capital Lima in August 2013.

Both were sentenced to six years and eight months in prison but were released in 2016.

In her upcoming autobiography titled You’ll Never See Daylight Again, Michaella claims she ended up working as a mule to 'to escape a past blighted by sectarian and domestic violence'.

Her book which is published by John Blake releases on October 31 priced at €14.

The synopsis states: “You’ll Never See Daylight Again tells Michaella’s amazing true story in her own words: of how she fled to Ibiza aged 19 to escape a past blighted by sectarian and domestic violence – only to find that the bars and clubs of the party island held its own dangers.

According to reports, mum-of-two Michaella is currently holding talks production companies about a television series about her ordeal.
