Michael Vick turns 39: Relive his 6-TD performance against the Redskins

Michael Vick turned 39 years old on Wednesday and it was a perfect time to look back on his time with the Philadelphia Eagles. With the help of Donovan McNabb and Andy Reid, Vick was able to resurrect his career with the Eagles after spending 23 months in federal prison for dogfighting.

The former Atlanta Falcons star played five seasons in Philadelphia, passing for 9,984 yards, 57 touchdowns, and 33 interceptions. Vick also rushed for 1,998 yards and 15 touchdowns. His greatest statistical season for the Eagles came in 2010 when he passed for 3,018 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions, with a 110.2 QB rating. Vick and the Eagles won the NFC that year, Andy Reid got the best out him as a passer and his best performance ever came against the Washington Redskins on the road.

In the ballgame labeled the “Monday Night Massacre” Vick had one of the most epic performances for a quarterback in Eagles team history, going 20-of-28 for 333 yards and four touchdowns in a 59-28 blowout over a Washington team led by Donovan McNabb.

Vick started the game off in fantastic fashion, linking up with DeSean Jackson on the first play of the game, for an 88-yard bomb for a touchdown.

Vick would finish the night with six total touchdowns.
