Michael 'Venom' Page planning electrifying homecoming for world title fight

Bellator welterweight title contender Michael 'Venom' Page has warned fans they are in for a wild night when he fights for the belt in London later this year.

Page will get to challenge the unbeaten Yaroslav Amosov at the SSE Arena Wembley in his hometown of London, where he most recently defeated Douglas Lima to earn his chance at the belt.

The Brit has lost once in his decade-long professional MMA career, and avenged that loss to become the No.1 contender for Amosov's title.

And he has promised fireworks both in and out of the cage at the famous Wembley Arena, hoping to top his incredible entrance that included a live Skepta performance from his last outing.

"Bring a change of clothes and bring an energy drink," Page said in an exclusive interview with Mirror Fighting . "It's going to be crazy out here.

"I want people to keep it in mind that they're going to be screaming, sweating, putting out so much energy that they're going to crash straight after, and we've got parties to go to!

"It's going to be electric from start-to-finish, we're talking about when I'm in the changing room, building the energy and getting people pumped to the walkout we're going to be doing.

"You already know that I like to put on a show and the fight is going to be electric, I swear to you I'm putting everything in, I'm doing everything I can from now to make sure I am the best MVP on that day.

"I'm going to be putting it all out there, I'll be going out on my shield and it's going to be worth you being there because literally, it will be more than electric."

Page will need to put it all on the line if he is to become the man to put the first mark on Amosov's unblemished record after 26-fights.

He thoroughly dominated Lima, who has beaten Page before and took him to a close split decision in their last bout, to become champion after taking Logan Storley's undefeated record in his prior outing.

And the former kickboxer understands that he must give the best account of himself if he is to become the first British Bellator champion.

"When you get to the level he's at, he's the best in the division right now," Page continued. "You tend to be a lot more composed, which is why you got there in the first place.

"But MVP in front of you is a different type of wind-up and it depends on my success rate because he might panic.

"The crowd might help in those moments where I'm trying to pull him out of his norm, but I won't be depending on the 'what ifs'.

"I'm expecting the best version of Amosov on May 13 and I need to make sure that I'm the best MVP and then some to take that belt from him."
