Michael Thomas breaks Marvin Harrison’s single-season catch mark

Michael Thomas of the Saints is the single-season reception leader in NFL history. The incomparable wideout surpassed the mark set by Marvin Harrison of 143 receptions in 2002 with a grab late in the fourth quarter of the Saints’ game with the Tennesee Titans.

The record-breaking catch — No. 144 — was first ruled a touchdown. Review, of course, ruled the wideout was short of the end zone. The record-breaking catch was Thomas’ 11th of the game to that point, good for 134 yards.

The review only put off Thomas finding the end zone for a short time A couple plays later, Drew Brees hit Thomas in the end zone for catch No. 145 on the season.

Thomas finished the game with 12 receptions for 136 yards and a TD.
