Michael Schumacher story has Ryan Tubridy in stitches on Late Late Show

Motorsport stars Keith Donegan and Adam Fitzgerald had Ryan Tubridy in stitches with a Michael Schumacher take on the Late Late show yesterday evening.

The two men stopped by to chat with Tubridy about their careers to this point.

Donegan, who has been obsessed with racing from a young age, told Tubridy about how his dad convinced him to eat more porridge by saying it’s Schumacher's favourite.

The young Keith ate up this story, and proceeded to eat plenty of porridge in a bid to be more like his hero.

While that may have been a fib, Donegan's passion for the sport is as real as anything. He was a driver in his youth, before retiring to a more behind-the-scenes role in Race Performance Motorsport, the team that he owns.

19-year-old Fitzgerald is now the driver and has led the team to serious success over the past year or so.

The two lads brought with them one of their cars to show off to the crowd. In a very funny moment, Tubridy hopped in to see what it was like in the drivers seat.

The audience certainly got a kick out of seeing this, as did the two boys, who remarked that Tubridy looked like a natural.

Unlike an episode of the Toy Show, Tubridy was unable to take his new toy out for a spin.

Just as well, seeing as the car can reach speeds of up to 270 km per hour.
