CHICAGO _ Projected lottery pick Michael Porter Jr. put a second pro day scheduled for Friday in Chicago on hold, with both ESPN.com and Yahoo Sports reporting the former Missouri forward has a sore hip.
The Bulls attended Porter's first pro day last week and were planning to attend Friday's workout, held only for interested lottery teams. According to a source, Porter still may interview with interested teams on Friday, and there's a chance the workout could be rescheduled for later Friday depending on how he responds to treatment.
Porter has made Chicago his home base for his pre-draft workout process because his agency is based here. Bulls doctors performed the physical on Porter that was shared with all interested NBA teams because of the agency's longstanding relationship with the club and the proximity.
Porter underwent a microdiscectomy that limited a prospect once projected to be the top overall pick to a mere three games in his lone season at Missouri. Teams also have had questions about Porter's fit as a teammate.
According to two people who attended Porter's first pro day, the 6-foot-11-inch forward shot the ball extremely well.
