Michael Owen's wish has been granted for several Liverpool stars chasing another Premier League title.
Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson, held to a draw by Brentford on Saturday, had better luck less than 24 hours later.
The Anfield trio are part-owners of horse Mr McCann, trained at stables belonging to Owen in Cheshire.
In the Cazoo Derby “Wild Card” EBF Conditions Stakes at Epsom on Sunday, the Tom Dascombe-trained youngster galloped to a five-and-a-half length victory.
Wins by such margins are rare in the sport – and the impressive performance earned him automatic entry to one of the biggest Flat races in the world.
The prospect of getting a run in the Cazoo Derby, back at the same course next summer, excited Owen who tweeted the players: "I hope you’ve not got a game on Derby Day lads! Get you top hats on!

James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Adam Lallana also own a share in the colt, who could contest the race with track bosses aiming to return prize money levels back to £1.5 million.
Mr McCann, named after Liverpool ’s press officer, Matt McCann, delighted jockey Richard Kingscote.
He told Racing TV: “He knows the drill and is very professional. Tom was confident the mile would help him, so we jumped out, got in a rhythm – and away we went.
“I thought early on maybe he was just moving a bit too well for the slower ground, but to be fair he handled the track very well and he skipped away up the straight.
“He’s progressed well – he’s danced a few dances and has had a solid year. Tom has done a great job, and it’s nice for him to pick this up – I think the extra trip is opening more doors for him. He’s a likeable horse.”
Mr McCann, given a quote of 66-1 for the Derby by bookmaker Paddy Power, had an easier task following the withdrawal of favourite Goldspur.
Clerk of the course Andrew Cooper said: "Mr McCann will simply drop straight into the (Derby) entries and that win saves the owners the initial entry fee."
Mr McCann's success came just a day after table toppers Liverpool drew 3-3 away at Brentford.
Goals from Diogo Jota, Mohamed Salah and Curtis Jones were not enough to secure victory for the Reds, as the Bees snatched a point through Yoane Wissa's 82-minute equaliser.
Ethan Pinnock scored first for the determined home side, currently sitting ninth in the Premier League.
Liverpool, the winners in 2019-20, are 7-2 to regain the title, behind current favourites Manchester City (evens).
