Michael Owen's Champions League predictions including Man Utd vs RB Leipzig

Manchester United will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run when they take on RB Leipzig on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils have bounced back from their thrashing by Tottenham with two wins and a draw from their past three matches after the international break.

That included an impressive 2-1 win in Paris last week as they got their Champions League campaign off to a storming start with victory against PSG.

However, they face another tough test as last season's Champions League semi-finalists visit Old Trafford with qualification also on their agenda.

Former United forward and Betvictor ambassador Michael Owen is predicting a 1-1 draw between the sides.

He said: "What a result that was in Paris last week for Manchester United. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer executed his game plan perfectly and will be hoping for more of the same against Leipzig.

"However, last year’s semi-finalists are no slouches and I think they’ve got enough in their locker to get something from Old Trafford, so I’m siding with the draw."

Meanwhile, another of Owen's old clubs, Liverpool, who edged out Ajax last week, take on Danish outfit FC Midtjylland at Anfield.

Midtjylland were beaten 4-0 by Atalanta last week and Owen reckons the Reds will win by the same scoreline.

"They are starting to find their feet after a rather shaky start to their domestic campaign," he said. "They’ll certainly be targeting maximum points against the Danes here.

"Midtjylland were pulled apart in their opener at home to Atalanta, and if they turn up to Anfield in similar form, they could be in for a long night."

Chelsea have been backed to run out 2-0 winners against FC Krasnodar following their stalemate with Sevilla last week.

Owen said: "The Blues will be targeting three points in this one, and with Christian Pulisic now fit, I think the Blues should have more than enough to take the points back to Stamford Bridge."

Meanwhile, Manchester City will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in Europe when they travel to France to take on Marseille, and Owen is tipping them to take the points.

He added: "The Citizens have certainly not found their rhythm yet, so this poses another tough match on the road for Pep Guardiola’s side.

"Marseille lost their opening Champions League fixture away to Olympiacos and although they will be disappointed with that, they’ll be hoping to get points on the board back on home turf. I expect another tight match here, but I do think City will have just enough to edge it."
