Michael Owen reveals what happened in Luis Suarez and Andy Robertson tunnel spat

Andy Robertson was forced off with an injury at half time in Liverpool's Champions League semi-final clash with Barcelona.

The Scottish left-back collided with former Reds forward Luis Suarez off the ball, and after receiving treatment on the Anfield pitch, was eventually replaced by Georginio Wijnaldum at the break.

The incident between the two players was reminiscent of a clash that took place in the first leg in Spain.

Suarez and Robertson were involved in an altercation on the pitch, and that continued in the tunnel.

"There was still a bit of a commotion there, walking up the tunnel at half-time," Michael Owen revealed on BT Sport last week.

He commented on the coming together between the two players, which saw Robertson forced off the pitch with an injury, and revisited the previous spat between the duo from the week before.

In doing so he made a new revelation about that particular argument, which took place in the Nou Camp tunnel.

According to Owen, Robertson was giving Suarez a piece of his mind but the Uruguay international didn't respond at first.

Instead, he waited until he was at the other end of the tunnel, at the furthest point from the left-back, near the entrance of the Barcelona changing room, before verbally fire back at the Scot.
