Michael Owen thinks Manchester United should have no problems in overcoming neighbours Rochdale and is looking forward to seeing some Liverpool youngsters in action against MK Dons in Wednesday's two big Carabao Cup games.
United go into their game against the Dale in need of a confidence-boosting win have only tasted victory in two of their last six matches in all competitions.
Liverpool have no such troubles, having won six out of six in the Premier League, and manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to ring the changes for the trip to Milton Keynes.
Speaking to BetVictor Owen said: "United are short of striking options with Marcus Rashford hobbling off with what looked like a groin injury against West Ham on Sunday.
"Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is optimistic, however, that Mason Greenwood, who scored the winner against Astana on Thursday in the Europa League, will be over the illness that prevented him travelling to London at the weekend.
"Rochdale have lost three of their last four games in all competitions and I expect to see United return to winning ways back on home soil."
On another of his former sides, Liverpool, Owen added: "Liverpool passed their first major examination of their title credentials at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and Jurgen Klopp looks sure to shuffle his talented pack at Stadium MK.
"Rhian Brewster is likely to make his debut for Liverpool against the Dons and I am looking forward to seeing the striker’s first appearance in a red shirt. It won’t be his last."
Owen has backed United to be leading at half-time and full-time at odds of 1/3, and also fancies Brewster to score at any time at 8/11.
