Michael Owen makes Burnley vs Manchester United prediction

Manchester United responded to their disappointing defeat at Watford before the festive period by brushing aside Newcastle United 4-1 on Boxing Day but Michael Owen is predicting a minor fall from grace this weekend.

The Reds came back from a 1-0 deficit in the first half to breeze home thanks to a double from Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood's super shot from outside the box and Marcus Rashford's header from close range.

This result has moved Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men up to seventh in the Premier League table and just four points off the Champions League places.

But the big issue for United moving forward surrounds their consistency and current lack of ability to string several wins together which would see them rocket up the league table.

Boxing Day was a good moment for the fans, the staff and the squad but can they pick up another victory at Burnley on Saturday evening?

Former United striker Owen doesn't think Solskjaer's men can make it two wins from two and is predicting a draw at Turf Moor.

"One goal has been enough in Burnley’s last couple of games and I expect to see another low-scoring affair at Turf Moor when Manchester United are the visitors," Owen explained in his BetVictor blog.

"United disappointed at Vicarage Road on Sunday but did put four past Newcastle at Old Trafford last time out. I feel chances will be at a premium and I can’t split the teams."
