Liverpool will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they face Tottenham Hotspur this evening.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are without a win in their last five league games, and have won just one of their last seven in all competitions.
Both Liverpool and Tottenham have been hit by injuries ahead of tonight’s game in north London, with the hosts one point behind in the table with a game in hand.
Former Liverpool striker Michael Owen is backing the Reds to get back to winning ways in the capital, predicting a 2-1 victory for the visitors.
"Liverpool come into this winless in their last five Premier League matches, scoring in just one of those games," said Owen in his latest BetVictor blog .
"Sunday night’s FA Cup defeat would’ve been hard to take as the Reds certainly had enough of the game to get a result.
"They take on a Spurs side that will no doubt be well organised. I think Jose Mourinho will be willing to give up territory, much like Manchester United did, in the hope he can catch the Reds on the counter.
"I think that could work to a certain extent; however, Tottenham’s defence has the tendency to switch off, and they cannot afford to do that here.
"This could be a cracker and I’m siding with Liverpool to stop the rot and come away with the win."
BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson does not agree with Owen though.
"Liverpool were much better in Sunday's FA Cup tie against Manchester United. Yes, they lost, but Mohamed Salah was back among the goals and there seemed to be more energy about the whole side," said the former Reds defender.
"They looked a bit more like their old selves in midfield and attack and manager Jurgen Klopp will take lots of encouragement from the way they played.
"This is another tough game for them, although I would be surprised if it is as open as Sunday's game was - Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is hardly going to throw everything at Liverpool, regardless of their poor form.
"I do not think a draw would be a disaster for either side but, for Liverpool in particular, it is important they do not lose."
