Michael O’Neill has been nominated for the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for January.
Stoke won three, drew won and lost one of their five league games last month to continue their push to survival in the Championship.
The Potters began the he month with a 5-2 victory against Huddersfield Town, before sharing the spoils with Millwall at the bet365 Stadium.
They then secured back-to-back wins in their next two fixtures, first away to table-topping West Bromwich Albion, before sentencing Swansea City to the same fate the following week.
They ended with a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Phillip Cocu's Derby County last Friday night but the Northern Ireland boss can be happy with his side's development that has saw them rise from the relegation zone.
O'Neill will be up against Cocu of the Rams, Lee Johnson of Bristol City and Nottingham Forest's Sabri Lamouchi for the award.
The winner will be announced on Friday morning.
