Michael Myers returns as Halloween sequels starring Jamie Lee Curtis announced

Get ready to be frightened to death all over again - twice.

It has been confirmed that two new sequels in the Halloween franchise are on the way.

Series architect and director of the original film John Carpenter confirmed the news via his Twitter account.

The first of the sequels is called Halloween Kills and will be arriving on October 16, 2020.

The next will presumably be the final in the franchise centered on masked serial killer Michael Myers, entitled Halloween Ends.

Halloween Ends is released in cinemas on October 15, 2021.

In addition to the creepy killer returning, we can also look forward to Jamie Lee Curtis reprising her role as original series survivor Laurie Strode.

Carpenter tweeted: "The saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode isn't over."

The film will continue the saga from last year's film Halloween, which saw Strode and Myers come face to face once more.

However, it seemed to all come to a fiery conclusion and end the saga for good after erasing all sequels to the original film from the canon.

Except, of course, it is not the end and the 2018 film's crew with producer Jason Blum, co-writer Danny McBride, and co-writer and director David Gordon Green also all returning.

It's bound to be another show-stopping and unnerving experience.

Halloween Kills is released in cinemas on October 16, 2020, while Halloween Ends is released in cinemas on October 15, 2021.
