Michael Murphy and Annie Keeney are engaged after the Donegal ace popped the question in a Christmas Day surprise.
The couple took to Instagram to announce the big news after the 2012 All-Ireland winner surprised his longtime girlfriend on the big day.
Keeney took to Instagram to show off her ring as she revealed that she couldn't believe the GAA star had popped the question.
In an Instagram post, she said: "He asked… I laughed and said “no way!?” A lovely Christmas Day surprise."
The pair have been in a relationship for almost six years after they first met in 2016.
Murphy had already been soldiering for the Tir Chonaill men for several years before the couple met, and after over a decade with his county he has no plans to retire.
Speaking at the end of last year, he said: "Ah listen, I have in my own head. It’s something you don’t want to be saying out publicly but you have in your own head what your aim and your target is.
“I’m conscious that there’s probably less years left than maybe there was a number of years back but no, I’ve a target in my head and there’s still a number of years left in me that I believe I can contribute.
“I’m just going to keep going. I still love it. I still absolutely love playing. I love the newer generation that’s come in, the challenge of getting to know them, mingling with them and the strengths that they bring.
“That fire is still fairly burning within you to keep doing it and being motivated to do it."
