Michael Mosley's quick weight loss hack perfect for those with busy life

Diet guru Dr Michael Mosley is full of weight loss tips as he attempts to help slimmers shed some pounds.

The TV doctor has created a number of diet plans, including the Very Fast 800 and the newer 5:2 diet, helping people reduce their waistlines without having to obsess over everything they eat. The expert specialises in finding ways to drop weight in a healthy way that can be maintained without the need to upend habits, this often leads to a lack of motivation.

And Dr Mosley suggests that the same attitude should be taken when it comes to exercise, with many not having the time slot in a full work out session - leading to them becoming demotivated and therefore failing to lose or even putting on weight, reports the Express.

In order to reduce the risk of this, the expert suggests "exercise snacking". The tip can help those with jam packed schedules who struggle to fit regular exercise into their everyday routine.

Explaining the trick on his podcast, Just One Thing, Mosley suggested that completing short bursts of exercise during the day can actually be more effective that trying to fit in a full workout.

"Doing exercise in short chunks really can help you burn more calories, lose more weight, and help improve your blood glucose and blood pressure to a greater degree than doing it in larger chunks", he explained.

He added: "Stairs are a particularly good way of getting in a few exercise snacks.

"The surprising thing about exercise snacking is that although each session is short, it gives you the same – possibly even greater – fitness and health benefits than doing a full 30-minute workout."

The diet guru revealed that the weight loss hack "can really help" people searching for some movement on the scales if paired with other lifestyle chances, such as sticking to a balanced, healthy diet.
