1. Michael La Sasso was born on 25 March, 2004 in Raleigh, North Carolina.

2. His parents are called Mike and Karla La Sasso.

3. La Sasso attended St David's High School in Raleigh. While there, he twice earned medalist honors at the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association State Championship while leading St David's to the 3A state title (2019 and 2021).

4. Following high school, La Sasso spent his first year of college at North Carolina State University and was a one-year letter winner.

5. La Sasso moved to the University of Mississippi ahead of his sophomore year and led the team with a 69.25 scoring average in his first year. His best finish was second at the Cabo Collegiate and 29 of his 30 rounds counted towards the team's score. As a result, he earned First Team All-SEC honors and was named to the PING All-America Second Team.

6. La Sasso is majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications at Ole Miss.

7. His maiden collegiate win came at the 2024 Hamptons Intercollegiate, where he beat Marshall Meisel by 11 strokes. La Sasso then won his second college title at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship later that season.

8. La Sasso appeared at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Cup and was selected to represent the US in the contest again in 2025. He will also represent Team USA at the 2025 Walker Cup.

9. In February 2025, he signed a Name, Image and Likeness deal with the lifestyle brand Johnnie-O.

10. His college golf career has not been without its challenges. Per Golf Channel's Brentley Romine, he had to withdraw from the 2024 SEC Championship with a stomach bug. Then, ahead of the Cabo Collegiate in March 2025, he stepped on a sea urchin on a beach and spent four hours getting the spines removed from his foot! He went on to finish 13th at the event.

11. La Sasso won the 2025 NCAA Division One Men's Golf Championship by two strokes at Omni La Costa's North Course. He posted 11-under to secure a start at the 2026 Masters and become just the second player in school history to lift the title.

12. As a result of his NCAA success, La Sasso made his Major championship debut at the 2025 US Open but missed the cut after twice carding a 74 at Oakmont Country Club.

13. La Sasso made his PGA Tour debut at the 2025 Rocket Classic after receiving a sponsor’s invite. Unfortunately, he missed the cut following rounds of 72 and 73. La Sasso made his first cut at the 3M Open in July 2025, going on to finish T44th.

14. In August 2025, La Sasso signed a sponsorship deal with Breezy Golf - headed up by YouTube star, Robby Berger of Bob Does Sports.
