Michael Kiwanuka has rescheduled his sold-out O2 Academy gig for a second time.
The Mercury Prize and BRIT award nominee will now perform at the O2 Academy Newcastle on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was initially set to play on Friday March 13, 2020, before moving the gig to September 1, 2020. The show has been moved again due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Tickets are sold out and will still be valid for the new date.
Michael released his third album, Kiwanuka, in 2019.
The singer-songwriter's upcoming gigs in Glasgow, Hull, Manchester, Blackpool, Leicester, Plymouth, Brighton, Leeds, London and Cambridge have also been moved to 2021.
Newcastle O2 Academy remains closed for the time being.
The Academy's website states: "Further to Government advice, the safety of our customers, employees and artists is of paramount importance. To help keep you up to date of plans and changes, ticket holders of any affected event will be contacted directly."
