Michael Jordan serenaded rivals on the court, says ex-player

April 19--Michael Jordan trash-talking is nothing new. Michael Jordan trash-singing is different matter entirely.

The Bulls legend used to sing to opponents on the court, according to former NBA player Roshown McLeod, and Jordan once used an Anita Baker hit to toy with Jerry Stackhouse.

McLeod, who played with the Hawks and 76ers between 1998-89 and 2000-01, compared Jordan and Kobe Bryant as trash talkers during an interview on the "Brown and Scoop" podcast on Monday.

"Most of the time it was their play that did the most talking. And if you started to saying anything, that's when the mouth started moving," McLeod said. "I just remember stories with Jordan singing to guys while he was playing,"

"Singing?" Brandon "Scoop" Robinson asked.

"Singing 'Giving You The Best That I Got,' you know, things like that," McLeod said.

Robinson: "Shut up! Are you serious?"

McLeod: "He pushed himself to a limit many couldn't understand."

Robinson: "I know he was a big Anita Baker fan, so that makes sense."

"So he would be singing while defending you?" co-host Jake Brown chimed in.

"While destroying you," McLeod said. "Like I said his No. 1 song was 'Giving You the Best That I Got.' I remember him singing that to Jerry Stackhouse one day and just put on a show. It was like he had a concert going on in his own head."
