NBA legend Michael Jordan’s remarkable net worth of over one billion pounds far exceeds that of English football icon David Beckham and Floyd Mayweather.
The Chicago Bulls great won six championships across his illustrious career and became one of the biggest names in sport in the 1990s.
Beckham played for the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid at the height of his career before joining AC Milan and PSG, while Mayweather achieved a perfect 50-0 record across a dominant career.
Despite the combined success and fame of the latter two, it is Jordan who boasts the highest net worth.

According to Forbes, Jordan is one of a very select group of former sportspeople to be worth over a billion pounds. Across his legendary career with the Bulls and Washington Wizards, Jordan earned £66 million - but it is his business savvy off the court that has propelled his worth since he hung up his sneakers.
Jordan has reportedly made £1.32billion from sponsorships from enormous names like Nike, Gatorade and Hanes. His partnership with Nike led to the Air Jordan trainers, which has generated the five-time MVP approximately £1billion since 1984 - when Jordan was drafted third overall by Chicago.
He is also the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, and the NBA franchise is currently valued at just over £1billion, which brings Jordan’s estimated net worth to be just under £1.2billion.

His total is far more than Beckham, who is English football royalty. His career helped him amass a net worth of £326million, as did meeting and marrying wife Victoria - Posh Spice - and the couple shot to global fame.
The former England captain has enhanced his brand by partnering with adidas, City, H&M, Samsung, Breitling and Calvin Klein. His lucrative new £150million deal with one of the beneficiaries of the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar will undoubtedly boost his worth, if not his reputation.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mayweather’s current net worth is the same as Beckham’s at £326million. Nicknamed ‘Money’ Mayweather, the 44-year-old certainly raked in the cash towards the back end of his career as he clashed with Manny Pacquiao for a purse of £181million and UFC star Conor McGregor for £218million.

Mayweather owns a fleet of around 100 cars worth over £10million, including five Rolls-Royces, four Ferraris and a Mercedes-McLaren. His lavish lifestyle extends to property too, with the former champion owning an 11-bedroom custom mansion in Las Vegas as well as a huge house in Beverley Hills. Oh, and he has a £43million private jet.
Reports suggest he earned over £40million following his controversial exhibition fight with YouTuber Logan Paul which ended in a no result after eight rounds.
When combining their net worth, Beckham and Mayweather total around £652million - which is still way short of Jordan’s £1.2billion. The NBA legend is worth almost double the two sporting icons put together.
