Michael Jackson's publicist to make mystery announcement about his legacy

Michael Jackson 's former publicist has said she'll soon make a "major announcement" about the late star's legacy.

Raymone Bain, who used to represent the singer, has released a bizarre statement saying she'll hold a press conference to deal with a mandate made by him three years before his death.

Bain, who was Jackson's media spokesperson throughout his 2005 child sexual abuse trial, in which he was acquitted on all counts, told the Daily Star that she's planning to hold a press conference to make "a major announcement regarding Michael Jackson and his legacy... in conjunction with a mandate made by him on October 6, 2006".

It's not known what the "mandate" refers to, but her announcement comes just a few months after controversial documentary Leaving Neverland aired on Channel 4.

The much-discussed documentary featured interviews from two former child companions of Jackson - Wade Robson and James Safechuck - who both claimed the singer had sexually abused them.

The Jackson family have furiously denied the claims made in the film.

Michael died in June 2009.

A new documentary, named Chase The Truth, has been made in the wake of Leaving Neverland, and it brands the men featured "lying money-grabbers".

The film featured interviews with a number of Jackson's closest pals, including former bodyguard Matt Fiddes and actor Mark Lester.

Fiddes, who worked for Jackson for 10 years, insists Safechuck and Robson's sexual abuse allegations were motivated by money.

He says: "It's always financial. It's hard to understand how these allegations can be true."

Jackson biographer Mike Smallcombe added: "Now two accusers going to sue the Jackson estate.

"All of Michael Jackson's accusers - it's always been about money."

Chase The Truth details how Robson and Safechuck launched a failed legal challenge against Jackson's estate before filming Leaving Neverland, which aired in the UK earlier this year.
