Michael Jackson's children famously wore masks to protect their identity as children and his daughter Paris has grown up grateful that he made them do so.
The 22-year-old said wearing the masks allowed her and her brothers Prince, 23, and Blanket, 18, to grow up normal.
Speaking on her Facebook Watch series Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn, Paris said that Jackson wasn't able to enjoy a normal childhood thanks to his music career and wanted different for his own kids.
Paris said: "When he was young, he would be in the studio and he'd look outside and he'd see kids on the playground and he couldn't do that.
"He didn't want that for us, so we wore masks."
She believes they were able to enjoy normal things as children because of her dad's decision.
Paris continued: "I appreciated it. It was nice. Because we were able to go to Chuck E. Cheese and Circus Circus and we were normal."
But as she grew up she realised that because of Jackson's legacy she'll never have a normal life.
She added: "For a long time I was just against letting the world in because I was just too scared to do it.
"I have had to accept the fact that I do not and probably will never have a private life."
In the series Paris has opened up about her relationship with her dad Michael, who died in 2009.
She identifies as bisexual and said her dad had an inkling about it when she was young.
Paris explained: "I think he felt the energy and he would tease me the same way he'd tease my brothers, like, 'You got yourself a girlfriend!' if I were staring at a magazine of a woman too hard.
"I'm very lucky to have that, especially so young, eight or nine. Not many children have that experience."
