Michael Dawson hails Nottingham Forest signing Tiago Silva

Nottingham Forest defender Michael Dawson says "things are looking good" under Sabri Lamouchi at the City Ground and has tipped new signing Tiago Silva for big things in Garibaldi.

Silva joined the Reds from Feirense earlier this month for an undisclosed fee in a move that has turned heads across the Championship.

And during Forest's pre-season friendlies he has impressed supporters and teammates with his performances.

When Silva arrived in the East Midlands he was labelled as a player who would sit deeper in the midfield than his countryman Joao Carvalho, but Dawson told TalkSport Breakfast that the former Portugal Under-21 star has been playing in a more advanced role with the Reds and can ever lead the line in attack.

“Tiago looks a great little player," Dawson told TalkSport Breakfast.

"The way he gets on the ball and looks to play it, he looks a great addition."

"He plays in the [number] ten [role], plays as a [number] nine, and he looks good.

“The new gaffer has been fantastic. He has worked hard to get his style of play and new ways of playing across and things are looking good.”
